VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Dec. 1, 2015 /CNW/ -- ACL today announced that former Workpapers.com founder and current senior leadership team member Dan Zitting has been named Chief Product Officer of the category-disrupting governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC) software provider.
"In the short time I've known Dan, he has distinguished himself as the most productively disruptive person I've ever met," said Laurie Schultz, President and CEO at ACL. "His vision for turning the market expectations for GRC software on its head has had a remarkable impact in the category and in the halls at ACL. Under his leadership, we have transformed as a partner to our customers, as a creator of intuitively designed software, and as a destination for the best and brightest talent. I couldn't be happier than having Dan lead the charge in seizing the amazing market opportunity we have before us."
As Chief Product Officer, Zitting leads the group focused on partnering with customers to evolve ACL's solutions and then go to market, including the product management, product design, content solutions, user experience, and marketing teams. During Zitting's time at ACL, the organization has won multiple prestigious awards and industry analyst recognition for product innovation, value delivery, and talent development.
Zitting is dedicated to the advancement of productivity-enhancing technology for GRC professionals and is a three-time winner of CPA Practice Advisor Magazine's 40 under 40 and Readers' Choice awards. Prior to joining ACL, he served in the Technology & Security Risk Services practice at Ernst & Young before co-founding risk advisory services firm Linford & Company LLP. Entrepreneurially moving into software, he led two SaaS startups through acquisition, including Workpapers.com, which was acquired by ACL in 2011.
Added Zitting, "The potential for ACL to redefine what role GRC software and the important people who use it every day play in large companies and governments around the world is extraordinary. More importantly, thanks to the incredible history of ACL, the opportunity to do it from right here in Vancouver, Canada has become very real. For the first time in my career, I feel like 'tap dancing to work' (to quote the great Warren Buffet) every day because I am surrounded by an unbelievably talented group who believes in what we're doing and care enough to make it happen. I wish everyone had the same opportunity that I do to be a part of something like this."
