A win for Calgary home sellers: WeList joins the ComFree network
CALGARY, July 16, 2013 /CNW/ - WeList, Calgary's biggest for-sale-by-owner company, joins the ComFree family, Canada's commission-free real estate network.
Nathan McCully founded WeList in 1999. Its website receives tens of thousands of monthly hits and hosts hundreds of listings. WeList.com has now become a marketing platform and will host ComFree Commonsense Network's listings.
McCully will stay on with Alberta's ComFree Commonsense Network to serve the customers he has grown to love.
"The ComFree network strives to provide Canadians with an exceptional level
of service for a flat fee, helping them sell their homes successfully while saving thousands in commission. And to reach this goal, we've found the perfect ally in Nathan McCully," says Lukas Lhotsky, ComFree network's vice-president of corporate development and operational strategy. "In our talks, Nathan shared his passion and belief in our model. Based on the same mission, he developed a wonderful brand and business in Calgary."
"The WeList.com marketing platform will give us significant presence and market share in one of Canada's most vibrant real estate markets," adds Lhotsky. "Even more importantly, it benefits home sellers. That's why it's such a natural fit for us."
McCully said he's thrilled about what the deal means for Calgarians.
"They're getting the greatest visibility in the real estate industry. We've just dramatically improved Calgarians' chances of selling their homes," explains McCully.
"For the first time, they have exposure on WeList.com, plus ComFree Commonsense Network's full suite of services and support, including visibility on comfree.com and an MLS® listing featured on REALTOR.ca."
Scott Bollinger, ComFree Commonsense Network's broker, says: "We hope Calgarians are as excited by this as we are. Home sellers will benefit from the great visibility WeList's cherished local brand offers, combined with our brokerage's exceptional exposure and professional support. From helping them set the right selling price to guiding them through negotiations and the legal paperwork at closing, we aim to help them sell the ComFree 'Commonsense' way."
