A Turning Point in the Development of e-commerce in Quebec

MONTREAL, July 26, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - The Quebec Association for E-Commerce (QAEC) has just been established, and its provisional directors have launched a new website, www.QAEC.ca.

The goal of the association is to develop e-commerce in Quebec by working together with as many partners and collaborators as possible.

Various approaches will be pursued:

(a) participating in the development of e-commerce infrastructures;

(b) creating information and consultation mechanisms for members, conducting surveys and drafting reports;

(c) promoting the interests of members among public and semi-public organizations whose activities involve or are affected by e-commerce.

The new website will provide basic information about the association, and will serve as a meeting place for all those interested in expanding e-commerce.

QAEC will hold its inaugural general meeting in October. Details of this event (which will mark a turning point in the development of e-commerce in Quebec) will be posted on the web site.
