MONTREAL, March 25 /CNW Telbec/ - Today marks the launch of the 9th Montréal Wine and Spirits Show, the largest public event of its kind in Canada. Some 20 000 visitors are expected at Palais des Congrès de Montréal to take part in this grand wine and spirits fête scheduled to continue through to March 28th inclusive.
Spread out over 10 000 m2, the Show features a delegation of 280 producers from 5 continents who will be showcasing the largest ever selection of wines and spirits presented under one roof: 2500 products, including over 1200 private imports on exclusive offer at the Show. Best Sommelier of the Americas 2009 to share her passion
Élyse Lambert, Best Sommelier of the Americas 2009 and Canadian entrant in the Best Sommelier of the World Contest scheduled to be held in Chile in April 2010, gladly accepted to serve as official spokesperson of this year's event. Admission, restricted to persons 18 years of age and over, is $15 and includes a wine tasting glass and official Show guide.
