TORONTO, Sept. 12, 2016 /CNW/ - Discover Policing is a provincial initiative that seeks to promote the policing profession to all members of our communities. RCMP Recruiting, as well as over a dozen other Ontario police agencies, will participate in the upcoming 2016 Discover Policing Expo. This event will be held at Mohawk College, 135 Fennell Avenue W. in Hamilton, Ontario on Saturday, September 24th from 9 AM to 4 PM.
The goal of the Discover Policing Expo is to provide police agencies across Ontario the opportunity to connect with potential applicants and their families and to let them know about volunteer, employment, and career opportunities. It will also provide potential applicants with information and tools to make themselves more competitive candidates in the policing selection process. Specialized units from a number of police agencies, including the RCMP, will offer information sessions and demonstrations throughout the day about the many career opportunities within policing.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) offers an exceptional career, letting you make a real difference in your community and your country. No other police force in Canada provides the levels of services and variety offered by the RCMP, as well as opportunities for continued learning and growth.
"A career with the RCMP offers the chance to have a daily positive impact on Canadian communities while enjoying vast opportunities for growth and development."
- Sgt. Michelle Welsh, Royal Canadian Mounted Police
