QUEBEC, March 25, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - Pixel Québec is proud to present PIXEL ANIMATION. Co-organised with TECHNOCompétences, this international convention will gather together video game, visual effects and animation artists, who worked with Dreamworks Animation, Sony Pictures Imageworks, Weta Digital and Blizzard Entertainment, among others. The event will be held on April 4-5 at TRYP Hotel Pur, in Quebec City and will offer 2 days of Masterclasses and networking.
"After last year's success of the four Masterclasses presented by Pixel Québec in partnership with TECHNOCompétences, we are pleased to remain involved for the next edition as co-organiser of the 2014 Pixel Animation. We are very happy to offer to local digital artists, the opportunity to expand their expertise with 14 Masters from renowned companies," says Marie-Josée Tessier, CEO at TECHNOCompétences.
PIXEL ANIMATION is an opportunity for professionals of the video game, the visual effects and the animation industries, to meet talents such as Hyrum Osmond (Frozen), Animation Supervisor for Disney, Kris Pearn (Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2), Director at Sony Pictures Animation and Pierre Perifel (Kung Fu Panda 2), Head of Animation for Dreamworks. A total of 14 professionals will share their knowledge on different subjects during the Masterclasses. The first day of the event will end with a networking cocktail reception, where the guests and the attendees will be able to extend the conversation.
