Predicted to be one of the largest tournaments ever on Canadian soil, Full Tilt Poker Montreal Festival features 17 poker events across 13 days
MONTREAL, July 17, 2013 /CNW/ - One of the largest poker events ever to be held on Canadian soil is coming to Montreal this fall. Full Tilt Poker has announced details of the first ever Full Tilt Poker Montreal Festival, which features 13 days of non-stop poker action headlined by a Main Event, with a guaranteed $1,000,000 prize pool.
"Canada - and specifically Quebec - is a hotbed for poker. The amount of talent coming out of the region is really amazing and the poker community has taken note. They have been dominating events on the European poker circuit in recent years," said Sarne Lightman, Full Tilt Poker's Head of Marketing. "We're looking forward to bringing a world class event to these world class players to enjoy in their own backyard."
The festival will take place from September 21st through October 3rd at the Playground Poker Club in Kahnawake - and will feature a jam-packed schedule of live poker events.
The $1,000,000-guaranteed Main Event kicks off on Friday, September 27th and runs for seven days. This re-entry tournament has three start days, allowing players who are knocked out on either of the first two start days to take another shot at a piece of the $1,000,000 prize pool. Players can buy-in for $1,100.
There is also a wide selection of games and events taking place before and after the Main Event, with buy-ins ranging from $60 to $220.

Players can win their seat in the Full Tilt Poker Montreal Festival Main Event in free online tournaments. Nine seats will be given away in weekly online tournaments on FullTiltPoker.net.
Online qualifiers will benefit from a host of extras that aren't available to other participants, including exclusive tournaments and access to player lounges where they can relax between games with elite and celebrity players who will be in attendance.
