Highlights
Claude Boucher had been playing the same Lotto 6/49 numbers for years, but it was the Gold Ball draw that finally handed him the whopping $46-million jackpot.
The day after the draw, he went through his emails and found out he was a winner. "I was scrolling quickly and I thought, '$46,000 isn't too bad! But what are all those zeros? Oh, it's $46,000,000!'" After checking the results on the Loto-Québec website and his online gaming account, he realized that he had won $46,000,000! He waited a few hours before announcing the news to his wife, an emotional moment they'll never forget.
Now Claude is thinking about retiring earlier than planned, though he doesn't want to leave his bosses in the lurch. He's dreaming of a trip to Switzerland, where he lived with his wife in the 1980s, and plans to spoil his loved ones.
