OTTAWA, ON, Oct. 22, 2025 /CNW/ - Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) will release a new report on Missing Middle housing trends across Canada's largest cities on Thursday, October 23 at 10:00 AM ET.

Missing Middle is a broad term for gentle- to-medium-density housing types such as accessory suites, multiplexes, row homes, stacked townhouses and low-rise apartments. These housing types are often underrepresented in new supply. 

The report analyses the growth, challenges, and opportunities surrounding Missing Middle housing in Canada's six largest Census Metropolitan Areas (CMAs); Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa and Montréal.
