"With our engaging and knowledgeable entertainment experts, and a live studio audience adding energy to the overall atmosphere, STARS & SCANDALS THAT SHOOK 2012 offers a unique and exciting twist to the countdown format," said Mike Cosentino, Senior Vice-President, Programming, CTV Networks, Bell Media. "From Kristen Stewart to Prince Harry, the panel discussion will definitely provide an entertaining outlook on the most-buzzed about gossip of the year."

From naked Royals to a redneck child pageant queen and an ultimate vampire betrayal, The CTV experts have weighed in and below are three of the Top 10 STARS & SCANDALS THAT SHOOK 2012:

Pint-sized Princess
Six year-old Alana Thompson, aka "Honey Boo Boo", became an overnight sensation after the videos of her appearances on TODDLERS & TIARAS went viral. TLC decided to give the sassy little pageant queen her own series, HERE COMES HONEY BOO BOO, premiering this past August. From McIntyre, Georgia, Honey Boo Boo lives with her mother June Shannon, father Mike Thompson, and three older sisters. With the family now a household name, Honey Boo Boo's mother in particular has been criticized for her "redneck" lifestyle and for her daughter's diet including Red Bull, cheese puffs, and roadkill.

The Royal Naked Scandals
Prince Harry of Wales, aka Queen Elizabeth II's 28-year old "wild grandchild", had an eventful year with a mischievous trip to Sin City this past August. While vacationing in Las Vegas, the press hit the jackpot as tabloids of a naked Harry together with an unknown young woman was taken in a hotel room at the Wynn Hotel. Then, with the Royals still reeling about Prince Harry's naked pics, French tabloid Closer magazine published a series of uncensored photos of Kate Middleton sunbathing topless in the South of France with Prince William, sending shockwaves around the world!

Vampire vs. Huntsman Scandal
Twilight's Kristen Stewart was caught in one of the biggest cheating scandals of the year. Since meeting fellow Twilight star, Robert Pattinson on set in 2008, the two have been romantically linked for the past four years. This past July, US Weekly released photos of Stewart having an affair with director Rupert Sanders, whom she met during the filming of Sander's film, Snow White and The Huntsman. British actor vs. British director, there is speculation that KStew has chosen the vampire once again.

Encores of STARS & SCANDALS THAT SHOOK 2012 also air on Saturday, Dec. 22 at 7 p.m. ET/PT on CTV, Sunday, Dec. 23 at 7 p.m. ET/PT on CTV Two, and Monday, Dec. 31 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CTV.
