Toronto Pearson Celebrates the Sights and Sounds of Caribbean Carnival

~ 46th Annual Scotiabank Caribbean Carnival Toronto Celebrations Kick off at the Airport in Terminals 1 and 3 ~

TORONTO, July 31, 2013 /CNW/ - Toronto Pearson was filled with excitement yesterday afternoon as airport guests were surprised with traditional island music and dance in celebration of the 46th Scotiabank Caribbean Carnival Toronto.

Junkanoo dancers moved to the beat of steel pan drums as masqueraders paraded their way through the airport's Terminals 1 and 3.  Among the performers were the world renowned Bahamian Junkanoo Legends and Canadian calypso pioneer "Pan Man Pat."

"It's always great to surprise and delight our guests with cultural experiences that reflect the spirit of Toronto," said Jennifer Larson, Manager, Guest Experience Marketing, Toronto Pearson. "An increasing number of attendees and participants come from all over the world to celebrate Caribbean Carnival, the largest cultural festival of its kind in North America. We're proud to welcome them and our airport guests in a fun and entertaining way year after year."

This is the sixth straight year Toronto Pearson has kicked off festivities for Scotiabank Caribbean Carnival Toronto, the largest festival of its kind in North America.
