Toronto Hydro receives Corporate Social Responsibility Award

PR News recognizes Canadian utility for its commitment to stakeholders

TORONTO, Feb. 13, 2013 /CNW/ - Toronto Hydro Corporation ("Toronto Hydro") is pleased to announce that it was recognized on Monday for its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts by PR News for Stakeholder Engagement.

PR News, a U.S. based organization that focuses on learning and training opportunities for the communications community, awarded the utility with this honour.  Toronto Hydro, one of seven finalists, was selected as the winner in the Stakeholder Engagement category based on its efforts to embed CSR in the organization and engage stakeholders for input.

"Our CSR program is a measure of our commitment to sustainability," said Blair Peberdy, Vice President Communications and Public Affairs. "As we work to advance sustainability in our workplace and community, we look to our stakeholders to help us meet our goals.  At the end of the day, everyone benefits."
