First-of-its-Kind Award Allows Customers to Directly Recognize Outstanding Customer Service
TORONTO, July 23, 2013 /CNW/ - On Saturday, July 20, at Sport Chek's digital lab store on Yonge Street in north Toronto, the Rose Bowl alumnus Burlington Teen Tour Band gave a surprise in-store performance for the first-ever recipient of the StrummyTM Employee Excellence Award. The first-of-its-kind, the StrummyTM will be awarded monthly to an employee in the services sector who has received extensive direct customer recognition for outstanding customer service. Andrew Smith, founder & CEO of customer-to-business social network Strum, presented an original work of art by one of Canada's leading encaustic painters, David Brown, to the winner, Daniel Lunansky of Sport Chek.
