HAMPTON, VA, Dec. 20, 2012 /CNW/ - Specialty Foods Group, Inc. ("SFG or
the "Company") announced today that Steve Wright, the current Chief
Financial Officer, has been appointed President of SFG. Mr. Wright
replaces Bonita Then who will resign as Chief Executive Officer
effective as of December 31, 2012. Ms. Then will continue as a
consultant to the Board of Directors of SFG.
Ms. Then assumed the role of CEO in late 2006 at a tumultuous time for
SFG. Under her direction, and through the efforts of many, the Company
restructured itself, paid down its debt and achieved record
Mr. Wright's promotion is in recognition of his strong performance since
joining the Company in April 2006 and his significant contributions in
the turnaround of SFG. Over this period, he has consistently
demonstrated both his leadership and knowledge of SFG's business to the
Board of Directors.
