MOUNT HOPE, ON, Nov. 10, 2014 /CNW/ - Dean Allison, Member of Parliament for Niagara West–Glanbrook, today announced Government of Canada support for a Remembrance Day ceremony presented by the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum. MP Allison made the announcement on behalf of the Honourable Julian Fantino, Minister of Veterans Affairs.
On November 11, the Museum's annual Remembrance Day service will include a guest speaker, as well as performances by the Redeemer College Choir, the Salvation Army and a piper. There will also be a traditional wreath laying and, at 11:00 a.m., a vintage Second World War aircraft flypast will take place.
- The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum is receiving $5,000 through Veteran's Affairs Canada's Community Engagement Partnership Fund for a Remembrance Day service.
- Since 2006, the Government of Canada has approved more than $13 million through the Community Engagement Partnership Fund for projects that recognize traditional and modern-day Canadian Veterans and those who died in service.
