Re: Canada-U.S. Beyond the Border Action Plan
TORONTO, Dec. 19, 2013 /CNW/ - The Canadian Courier & Logistics Association (CCLA) wishes to congratulate the Canadian and US Governments on the progress made to date on the Beyond the Border Action Plan. We are pleased to note adherence to firm timelines for implementation.
The recent increased and harmonized low value threshold for imports into Canada and the U.S. are particularly beneficial to our industry and more particularly our customers.
"Joint efforts such as these increase the speed of trade between our two countries. They enhance and sustain the economy and employment on both sides of the border. In addition, these policies will reach further to enhance global trade." said David Turnbull, President & CEO of the CCLA.
CCLA takes this opportunity to congratulate Ministers Fast and Blaney for these concrete results and urge them to maintain the government's momentum on these initiatives.
