Mott's Fruitsations Launches "Buy a Cup, Give a Cup" Program in Support of Breakfast Club of Canada
Canadian actress and mom of two, Neve Campbell, lends her support to the partnership
TORONTO, Jan. 22, 2019 /CNW/ - One in five Canadian children - nearly one million kids - are at risk of starting school on an empty stomach. To help every child realize their full potential, Mott's Fruitsations has announced a partnership with Breakfast Club of Canada through which one cup of Mott's Fruitsations will be donated to the organization for every cup purchased before the end of March 2019 - up to half a million cups in total.
To mark the launch of this new partnership and bring awareness to the issue, Canadian actress and mother of two, Neve Campbell is joining Mott's Fruitsations in Vancouver today and in Toronto tomorrow.
"Every day, too many Canadian children go to school hungry," said Neve Campbell, "I'm so proud to support the work that Mott's Fruitsations is doing to provide healthy morning snacks to Canadian children in need."
For more than 24 years, Breakfast Club of Canada has funded and supported school breakfast programs across the country, working to give children the equal opportunity to succeed. Currently, the Club funds 1,640 programs, feeding more than 220,000 children and youth every school morning. Nearly 33 million breakfasts are served annually across the country.
"We believe children should go to school hungry for knowledge, not food - and we're so grateful for partners, like Mott's Fruitsations, that share that vision," said Lisa Clowery, National Corporate Relations Director, Breakfast Club of Canada.
"We are thrilled to support the incredible work being done by Breakfast Club of Canada," said Karen Daneliuk, Brand Marketing Manager, Mott's Fruitsations. "Providing children with nutritious snacks is what we do every day, and we can't think of a better way to showcase our commitment to Canadian kids than by giving back through this partnership."
Mott's Fruitsations products are unsweetened, made with real fruit, contain natural flavours and colours - and make a great addition to a nutritious breakfast. For more information on the "Buy a Cup, Give a Cup" program, please visit mottsfruitsations.ca.
