Media Advisory - PrideHouse Toronto to announce TORONTO 2015 Games plans today
TORONTO, Nov. 28, 2014 /CNW/ - Today PrideHouse Toronto will announce comprehensive plans to make the Toronto 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games the most LGBTQ-inclusive multi-sport games in history, delivered with unprecedented support from the TORONTO 2015 Games Organizing Committee, the Province of Ontario, the City of Toronto and lead corporate partner CIBC.
Featured guests at the announcement will include TO2015 Organizing Committee CEO Saad Rafi, Minister Glen Murray, City Councillor Kristyn Wong-Tam and CIBC's Monique Giroux. They will be joined by LGBTQ athletes Rosie Cossar, silver and bronze medalist at the 2011 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games and 2012 Olympian, and Kristen Burley, bronze medalist at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
As well as announcing celebration spaces and events during the TORONTO 2015 Games, PrideHouse Toronto will unveil its programs aimed at making sport inclusive at school, community, and amateur levels across the province.
