Mean Girls = Mean Women: It's time to STOP the Bullying
TORONTO, Feb. 20, 2014 /CNW/ - As we descend upon another yearly International Women's Day on March 8th, it's time for women to tell the truth: Perhaps for thousands of years men oppressed us, but in 2014, it appears women are really doing it to each other.
Best-selling authors, Crystal Andrus and Colette Baron-Reid are blowing the lid off of "Women Bullying". Its not just kids in school; it's full-grown 40+ year-old women, too.
Beloved international life coach on the hit TV show "X-Weighted", Crystal Andrus says, "We are in a new epidemic with women. No longer do we need to compete with each other to get the best man to give us the best life and yet, here we are still shaming, judging, snubbing and undermining each other. We haven't yet learned how to truly collaborate and celebrate. 2014 must be the year that the next era of the women's movement rises! Women must empower each other."
World-renowned intuitive counselor, Colette Baron-Reid (who has recently appeared on Dr. Phil, The Doctors, and the Today Show) adds, "We live in a bully culture where women bully themselves for fear of not being thin enough, or pretty enough, comparing ourselves to photo shopped unrealistic beauty; and as we shame ourselves we inevitably shame those who have achieved it. It is time to stop comparing and competing and cutting others down to size. Time to stop and celebrate our uniqueness and support other women to do the same. It's time to shine brightly as we learn to not dim down our lights!"
Crystal Andrus and Colette Baron-Reid are in town from Tuesday March 4th until March 8th for interview opportunities.
Topics to discuss:
- Why women bully; not just kids.
- Maybe the kids are learning it from us!
- Your Emotional Age (different from your chronological or biological age)
- Empowered communication vs. disempowered communication
- Why women are being called to heal the world
On March 8th, join Crystal, Colette and friends for "The Enchanted Evening". A night designated by the United Nations with the 2014 theme "Inspiring Change". Women must step into their power and that will only happen when we women change.
Tickets are being gifted to deserving women in the community who may not otherwise be able to afford this magical evening.
