System's upgrade a key milestone toward the roll out of MTEMC's
Automated Meter Infrastructure solution
AUSTIN, TX, June 19, 2013 /CNW/ - The Middle Tennessee Electric
Membership Corporation (MTEMC), in partnership with KPIT-Sparta today
announced the successful completion of its 'Cornerstone project' to
modernize the Customer Billing system in preparation for the roll out
of MTEMC's Automated Meter Infrastructure solution. The MTEMC SAP
system was successfully upgraded from CIC0 to CRM 7 with EHP 2,
representing the first completed upgrade to CRM 7 EHP 2 in the country.
This upgrade was carried out with no loss of functionality and provides
the ability to optimize several processes and add new functionalities.
This project was a collaborative effort between MTEMC and KPIT-Sparta,
a major reason for its success. Other factors that contributed to the
success include extensive testing carried out by the teams, systematic
end-user training and the utilization of KPIT-Sparta's best practice

Metering Infrastructure (AMI). With indispensable help from
