MISSISSAUGA, ON, Nov. 10, 2014 /CNW/ - Atlantic Canada's favourite calendar is arriving on doorsteps and newsstands this week with fresh recipes that are sure to whet East Coast appetites. The 2015 Milk Calendar will be distributed for free in the Charlottetown Guardian and the St. John's Telegram on Thursday, November 13 and in the Chronicle Herald, Moncton Times & Transcript, Fredericton Daily Gleaner, and Saint John Telegraph Journal on Saturday, Nov. 15.
Showcasing a collection of 27 newly developed simple and easy recipes, from smoothies, soups to desserts, the 2015 Milk Calendar provides delicious and nutritious meal ideas that the whole family will enjoy.
"All the recipes in the 2015 Milk Calendar are simple, nutritious and delicious," says Renée Lavallée, chef and 2015 Milk Calendar spokesperson. "You can get the whole family involved, from youngest to oldest, in choosing, making, and, of course, feasting on these tasty recipes."
Some soon-to-be family favourites include Chocolate Milk and P.B. Smoothie, Mac & Cheese Muffins, Taco Supper Bake, and Mayan Chocolate Bundt Cake, to name just a few.
"Every Milk Calendar recipe can be ready in 45 minutes or less, includes at least one cup of milk, and meets the recommendations of Canada's Food Guide to Healthy Eating," says Renée. "This year's calendar also includes a 'Tip of the Month' for each monthly recipe with information on nutrition, healthy eating habits, menu planning, and cooking with dairy products."
In addition to the monthly recipes, the calendar features cheese, cream and baking recipe pages. Also included are cooking tips, a nutritional analysis for each recipe and options for varying some of the ingredients.
All recipes included in the calendar are available at MilkCalendar.ca. Monthly recipes are also available in French at the back of the Milk Calendar and on MilkCalendar.ca.
