TORONTO, Nov. 3, 2012 /CNW/ - The Delta Chelsea Hotel and Andorra Building Maintenance Limited announced that they raised $4300.00 at a fundraising concert held in Monarchs Pub (in the Delta Chelsea Hotel) on Friday November 2, 2012. The event brought together local music talent and supporters from all over the GTA. Over and above the event fundraising total, the hotel also committed to an additional $2500.00 and Andorra will contribute the additional funds needed to ensure that proper funeral arrangements are made with her family in Uganda.
"This incident has had a profound impact on our team at the hotel and as well, with the employees of Andorra", said Ron Pellerine, General Manager, Delta Chelsea Hotel. "Once we became aware of the Trust Fund set up by Anthony Vella, President of Andorra, we decided that we would come together and organize an event in memory of our friend and co-worker, Nighisti Semret."
"Over the past week, we've seen some great support in our industry from our own employees to other hospitality groups who have been collecting donations and sharing their thoughts and prayers", said Anthony Vella, President, Andorra Building Maintenance Limited.
