Economic Developers Council of Ontario (EDCO) and BDC Partner to Support Entrepreneurs in Rural Ontario Français
OTTAWA, 5 Nov. 2014 /CNW/ - The Economic Developers Council of Ontario (EDCO) is pleased to announce a new partnership agreement with the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC).
"This partnership makes sense to both parties," stated EDCO CEO Heather Lalonde. "Both EDCO and the BDC are engaged in local communities with the clear mandate of creating wealth."
EDCO and BDC will work together to deliver programming to EDCO members to enhance the capacity of economic development professionals and increase their skill level through development of curriculum over the next year.
"At BDC we believe in partnering with organizations that actively support entrepreneurship," said Shaun Rath, Regional Director, Strategy Implementation at BDC. "This initiative will increase our joint impact in rural communities across Ontario by providing entrepreneurs with timely access to the financial and advisory resources needed to succeed."
