COLLINGWOOD, ON, Sept. 17, 2012 /CNW/ - Collingwood and Wasaga Beach Hearing Clinics is excited to announce that Sue, Sheri and Len Vermeulen helped Starkey Hearing Foundation give the gift of hearing on its first-ever China mission. This was history in the making as this was the first government sanctioned charity event that has ever been allowed into China. More than 12,000 hearing aids were distributed to hearing impaired children and adults as part of this history-making hearing mission.
During the 10-day hearing mission, Sue, Sheri and Len Vermeulen travelled to Xi'an and Chengdu, China, where they were joined by eight-time NBA All-Star and former Houston Rockets center Yao Ming, two-time NBA All-Star and Los Angeles Clippers forward Caron Butler, NBA China CEO David Shoemaker, and GRAMMY award winning songwriter and producer Dallas Austin.
