The Mile High Bacon Cheese Thickburger, Bacon Poutine arrive at Carl's Jr. in Canada
CARPINTERIA, CA, Dec. 3, 2014 /CNW/ - Canadians rejoice, with two new ways to enjoy bacon at Carl's Jr.® The Mile High Bacon Cheese Thickburger and Bacon Poutine arrive today at all Canadian Carl's Jr. locations.
The new Mile High Bacon Cheese Thickburger features premium, thick-cut Applewood-smoked bacon piled sky high on top of a charbroiled, 100 percent Black Angus beef Thickburger patty, along with a slice of processed cheese, red onion, tomato, lettuce and mayonnaise, all served on a Fresh Baked Bun.
"You can never have too much of a good thing, and for most people, that good thing is bacon," said Brad Haley, chief marketing officer at Carl's Jr. "For our newest, premium Thickburger, we're using a hefty serving of thick-cut, Applewood-smoked bacon pieces, and we're piling it on top of a charbroiled 100 percent Black Angus beef patty, along with a slice of melting cheese, crisp red onion, lettuce, tomato and mayo, and serving it all on one of our signature Fresh Baked Buns. Bacon lovers will absolutely love the Mile High Bacon Cheese Thickburger."
In addition to the Mile High Bacon Cheese Thickburger, Carl's Jr. is also adding Bacon Poutine to the menu, featuring a pile of crispy, natural-cut fries, cheese curds and a helping of gravy, all topped with crispy bacon bits. Traditional poutine is also available.
The Mile High Bacon Cheese Thickburger is available starting at $7.79 and may also be ordered in a combo meal with fries and a drink. The Bacon Poutine is priced at $4.49. Prices may vary by location.
The Mile High Bacon Cheese Thickburger is accompanied by an advertising campaign titled "Propositioning," developed by Los Angeles- and Amsterdam-based creative agency 72andSunny. Set aboard an airplane, the spot stars model and actress Bar Paly, who asks her on-set husband to join her in the Mile High Club.
