And as an added bonus, various entertainment and contests will be going on throughout the day at the Jean-Doré Beach.

Jean-Doré Beach

Newly named in honour of former Montréal mayor Jean Doré, the île Notre-Dame Beach is marking its 25^th anniversary this year, and for this special day the entry fee for the Beach will be just $2.50. A veritable oasis situated close to the downtown area, the magnificent beach boasts a new feature this year, Aquazilla, a 30-by-35 metre floating inflatable structure composed of obstacles, slides and platforms. This activity has just been added to such existing ones as teletraction wakeboarding, boating, stand-up paddleboard and beach volleyball, all of which will be offered at a discount on Discovery Day. Incidentally, the Beach opens for the season this Thursday, June 18.

Flyboarding, an extreme sport on the île Notre-Dame lake
