Canadian rollout begins this holiday season, bringing new toy and celebration destinations to communities nationwide through 2027; first Richmond Hill shop-in-shop celebrates its grand opening November 14

RICHMOND HILL, ON, Nov. 3, 2026 /CNW/ -- Staples Canada today announced it has been named the official and exclusive Canadian retail partner for Toys"R"Us Canada and Parties"R"Us Canada. In collaboration with Next Century Ipco Can ULC, the partnership will launch this holiday season with a pilot location in Richmond Hill, Ontario, and digital experience on staples.ca. The rollout will expand throughout 2027, bringing dedicated shop-in-shop experiences to close to 300 Staples Canada stores and using Staples Canada's established national network to make toys, everyday play and celebration essentials more accessible to Canadian families in communities large and small.

The partnership builds on Staples Canada's long-standing presence in communities across the country, using its existing Canadian store network, digital platform and local teams to bring Toys"R"Us Canada and Parties"R"Us Canada closer to families from coast to coast. As the rollout expands, it will create new in-store experiences while supporting Canadian retail jobs and continued investment in stores and communities nationwide.

Designed for birthdays, holidays and everyday play, the shop-in-shop experiences will feature dedicated retail space and curated and exclusive product assortments. Toys"R"Us Canada returns as a curated toy destination, while Parties"R"Us Canada introduces an all-new retail concept offering balloons, party goods, seasonal essentials and licensed party products. Together, the concepts bring the spirit of celebration to in-store experiences that make shopping easier for families.

The first Toys"R"Us Canada and Parties"R"Us Canada shop-in-shop will open at Staples Richmond Hill, Ontario. Families are invited to a community grand opening celebration on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at the store, located at 45 Red Maple Road, featuring make-and-take activities, special offers and character appearances.
