The College of Chiropractors Welcomes New Registrar
RICHMOND, BC, July 1, 2012 /CNW/ - The College of Chiropractors of British Columbia (CCBC) is pleased to announce the appointment of a new College Registrar, Ms. Valerie L. Osborne, B.Sc., J.D., as of July 1, 2012. Ms. Osborne brings over 20 years of legal expertise to the role with major practice areas in professional regulatory, information and privacy and environmental law. Most recently, Ms. Osborne was the Registrar and C.E.O. for the College of Veterinarians of B.C., a position she held for over ten years. Prior to this time, she worked in several other legal capacities including positions within the Appeals and Legal Divisions of WorkSafeBC.
With her extensive legal background and considerable experience in the regulatory arena, Ms. Osborne brings a unique perspective that will greatly assist with College functions and challenges going forward. Her proficiency in governance, communications and government/stakeholder relations is an asset to the CCBC's short and long-term goals.
The CCBC would also like to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. J. Blake Cameron who served as CCBC Registrar for the past three years. Over the course of his term, Dr. Cameron took significant steps to formalize responsibilities and maintain continuity within the College. The College wishes him all the best as he settles into retirement life.

The College of Chiropractors of British Columbia (CCBC) is the regulatory body established by the provincial government in 1934 that is responsible for the registration and regulation of BC's chiropractic doctors. The CCBC's mission is to determine the standards of chiropractic health services for the protection of the public.
