"On behalf of all members of CPRS, I welcome these extraordinary leaders in Canadian public relations and communications management to the Society's College of Fellows," said Richard Truscott, APR, National President, CPRS. "It's encouraging to see individuals from across all regions of the country display the highest level of commitment to the profession and receive their fellowship."

Since 2000, the College of Fellows has recognized CPRS members who are proven leaders in their communities and the public relations and communications industry. There are currently 84 members in the College of Fellows, including this year's inductees, and 22 Honorary Fellows.

"Earning a Fellowship with the Canadian Public Relations Society is a true testament to a public relations practitioner's professionalism, dedication and contribution to the public relations and communications community," added Derrick Pieters APR, FCPRS, Presiding Officer, CPRS College of Fellows. "I am extremely pleased to congratulate the newly appointed Fellows on this professional accomplishment."

In order to attain Fellowship status with CPRS, a public relations professional must be a member with the Society for at least 10 years, have a minimum of 20 years of experience within the profession, and be accredited in public relations (APR). These are not the only requirements as successful College of Fellows candidates clearly demonstrate having brought a significant contribution to the public relations profession or to the CPRS community.
