A Fresh Look and a Focus on Mobile Usher in a New SPC
TORONTO, July 30, 2014 /CNW/ - SPC has been working with agencies Plastic Mobile, Loyalty Engine and Rethink over the last four months to deliver enhanced mobile savings that finally give student members what they have been asking for.
"Students want everything instantaneously, a delay is intolerable. As a market leader in student discounts we have decided to up the ante and provide an enhanced member shopping experience," asserts Dean Mazzariol, SPC President. "New functionality will give members what they crave at a speed they have become accustom to."
Student members will have access to their favourite brands through weekly push notifications and locked offers along with SPC's traditional savings and deals. Anyone prepping for high school, college or university will want to start their back-to-school shopping by purchasing an SPC Card for complete access to the exclusive deals.
The mobile offerings will launch the week of August 18th and will include student-loved brands such as Aéropostale, Baskin Robbins, Old Navy, Pizza Pizza and The Body Shop.
In addition to the new mobile initiative, SPC as a whole has received a facelift; new card, new website and new partners. The fresh look is a departure from the expected causing an outcry of online love for the new appearance, as have the newest additions to the SPC coalition of partners: GUESS, Jack & Jones, Joe Fresh, Menchie's, Old Navy, Quiznos, Thai Express, THEFACESHOP and more.
"At our core, SPC still provides the same instant, repeat discounts that have garnered a strong fan base, but the shift will be in the delivery of those savings from a plastic card to mobile," states Mazzariol.
