OTTAWA, Sept. 18, 2014 /CNW/ - You are cordially invited to join us in a very special worldwide event for peace on 21st September, the United Nations World Peace day. On this day, we are recognizing the centenary of the start of World War I with a truly global event for peace.
Simultaneous World Peace Meditations are being held on this day in over 375 cities around the world and across Canada. In addition, individuals can participate by downloading a special mobile app (for iOS or Android), so that all can join this worldwide meditation, wherever they may be.
The purpose of this event is to generate a wave of peace in the world, starting with one's own inner peace. The guided meditation will be led by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, international humanitarian figure and ambassador for peace.
This is an initiative of the International Association for Human Values, in partnership with the Art of Living Foundation, the Dalai Lama Foundation, Unify and other organizations working to promote peace on the planet. This is an open invitation to everyone - all your friends, family, and colleagues. So please spread the word!
