TORONTO, May 27, 2014 /CNW/ - The Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT) is pleased to announce that their Annual General Meeting and Conference will take place from May 29-31 at White Oaks Conference Resort & Spa in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario.
Delegates, representing more than 24,500 OACETT members, will come together for lively discussion of industry issues, OACETT activities and innovations in engineering technology. Joining them at the province's premier event for engineering technicians and technologists will be representatives from industry, education and other associations.
"OACETT's AGM and Conference provides an ideal opportunity for our members and stakeholders to discuss trends in engineering and applied science technology and the strategic priorities of the Association," commented Stephen Morley, C.E.T., C.I.M., OACETT president. Highlights of the event will include the Technical Program, featuring presentations and poster displays showcasing the talents and expertise of OACETT members (May 30), the President's Dinner, where three accomplished members will be honoured with the Fellow OACETT designation (May 30 – evening) and the AGM, where members will learn more about OACETT's recent and upcoming initiatives (May 31).
Three days of networking, professional development, socializing and strategizing promise to leave AGM and Conference participants informed and inspired.
Representing more than 24,500 members across the province, OACETT is the professional association that promotes the interests of engineering and applied science technicians and technologists in industry, educational institutions, the government and the public. OACETT is Ontario's independent certifying body for engineering and applied science technicians and technologists. Members hold one of the following designations: C.E.T. (Certified Engineering Technologist), C.Tech. (Certified Technician) or A.Sc.T. (Applied Science Technologist).
