OTTAWA, July 5, 2013 /CNW/ - It was 25 years ago that the Minto Suite
Hotel first opened its doors. Real estate icon Irving Greenberg
travelled to some of the most prestigious all-suite hotels in the world
in order to research the best designs, staying in as many as four
hotels per week. This dedication to the creation of a unique property -
long before boutique hotels were the 'in' thing - has ensured the
hotel's continued success. Coupled with its design has been the
devotion of the hotel staff, some of whom have been with Minto Suite
Hotel since the beginning, to make sure that guests receive the best
service possible. Roger Greenberg, Chief Executive Officer of The Minto
Group, says "we are proud to include the Minto Suite Hotel among our
diverse portfolio of properties and look forward to what the next 25
years will bring."
Aside from winning the prestigious CAA/AAA Four Diamond Award 19 years
in a row, Minto Suite Hotel has accumulated many awards since its
opening in 1988, including the Certificate of Excellence from
TripAdvisor for several consecutive years as well as the 5 Key
Eco-Rating from the Hotel Association's Green Key Eco-Rating program in
2012 (an upgrade from their 4 Key Eco-Rating in 2011).
These awards speak to the fact that Minto settles for no less than top
quality both in the buildings it develops and the services it offers.
David Zaltzman, General Manager of Customer Experience for Minto's
Hospitality division, says "I am happy to be a part of this milestone
celebration. While many things change over the years, the most
important features stay the same, like our staff's commitment to
delivering excellent customer service to our new and returning guests.
Whether a guest stays a night, a week, a month or forever we provide
four-diamond inspiring service."
The hotel's kid-friendly amenities and full suite features make it a
popular weekend destination for families, while complete conference and
banquet facilities in luxurious and elegant settings provide an ideal
setting for business meetings, receptions and weddings.
In celebration of its 25th anniversary, the hotel will be offering 10 studio suites per day during
July and August for $75 per night, the same rate guests would have paid
when the hotel first opened 25 years ago. Guests must call to book and
ask for the "Anniversary Rate." To book a suite, call 613-232-2200 or
