LONGUEUIL, QC, Nov. 3, 2026 /CNW/ -- On November 5, Canadian Space Agency (CSA) astronaut Colonel Joshua Kutryk will conduct his second spacewalk. Media representatives are invited to the John H. Chapman Space Centre to watch the livestream.
Like they did during the spacewalk of October 29, Joshua Kutryk and NASA astronaut Anil Menon will install a new solar array, thereby completing an upgrade to enhance the power generation capacity of the International Space Station.
Once again, Canada will play a key role in this spacewalk: CSA astronaut Jenni Gibbons will serve as capcom, Canadarm2 will be used to move the solar array, and teams at the CSA in Longueuil and NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston will support operations.
CSA experts will be available on site to grant interviews.
