Émilie Heymans, Richard Legendre and Catherine Girard-Audet invite Montrealers to encourage our young people
MONTREAL, Feb. 7, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - From February 11 to 15, 2013, Hooked on School Days will be taking place across Quebec. Thousands of activities will be presented to encourage young people to stay in school. Montreal Hooked on School cordially invites journalists to the launch of the 2013 edition in Montreal on February 11, at 10 a.m.
The launch will kick off the third Montreal edition of Hooked on School Days and will provide an opportunity to announce the program of activities that will take place in various neighbourhoods throughout the week.
Also, there will be testimonials by three well-known Montrealers:
- Catherine Girard-Audet, children's book author
- Émilie Heymans, quadruple Olympic medallist in diving, and fashion designer
- Richard Legendre, executive vice-president, Montreal Impact and Saputo Stadium
Attending the launch will be Gilles Petitclerc, president of Montreal Hooked on School and executive director of the Commission scolaire de Montréal, Andrée Mayer-Périard, executive director of Montreal Hooked on School, and 150 stakeholders with an interest in school perseverance. Mr. Petitclerc and Mrs. Mayer-Périard will provide an update on graduation rate in Montreal.
