Media Advisory - Community Health Centre Nurses to Hold Information Picket
BRANTFORD, ON, Feb. 27, 2014 /CNW/ - Nurse Practitioners and a Registered Nurse working at the Grand River Community Health Centre will hold an information picket Thursday at 3:30 pm.
The nurses, members of the Ontario Nurses' Association (ONA), are responsible for providing primary care services to thousands of people in Brantford and Brant County, and they are concerned about the refusal of their employer to bargain with them as they seek a first collective agreement.
The nurses say their heavy workloads are risking patient care and they are deeply concerned about what will happen to their patients should they be forced to go on strike next month.
