MDC Partners Acquires Leading Media Firm RJ Palmer

10th Largest Media Communications Agency in the US

NEW YORK, Jan. 5, 2012 /CNW/ - MDC Partners Inc. announced today the acquisition of renowned media firm, RJ Palmer. Based in Manhattan, the full service media agency has a client roster of 50+ blue-chip clients and over $800 million of media billings. RJ Palmer joins the MDC Partners roster of innovative media firms including The Media Kitchen, Varick Media Management and Integrated Media Solutions.

Founded in 1979 as the first media-only agency, RJ Palmer has grown into the 10th largest media communications agency in the United States. The firm provides strategic insights, TV, print, out-of-home, radio and digital media planning and buying, as well as branded entertainment and corporate barter to clients.  In 2008, the company formed Trade X Media to provide corporate bartering services to its clients, which is of particular interest to MDC Partners. All of the principals in the firm will remain.
