TORONTO, Sept. 23, 2014 /CNW/ - French luxury skincare, body care & fragrance label L'OCCITANE EN PROVENCE raises the bar with the opening on September 25, 2014 of its first Vancouver flagship, located at the intersection of Robson and Burrard Streets.
Known as one of Canada's most prominent retail locations, 1000 Robson Street building includes 4,000 square feet on its ground floor, and a 1,000 square foot mezzanine. L'OCCITANE's has taken over 5,000 square feet to create a stunning and fragrant environment.
The coveted space features a unique design concept by French architect Joseph Abed, Architecture & Design Consultant for L'OCCITANE in collaboration with Dounia Ladifi of the Architecture and Design department at L'OCCITANE.
As in a stroll on Cezanne's footsteps, the spacious and unique boutique evokes the creative and intimate environment inspired by Paul Cezanne's Atelier Workshop. Elegant displays highlighting signature lines and an extensive variety of high quality sensorial products are harmoniously combined in a warm and striking setting. The rich ochre-based limewash walls, the beauty of the terracotta floor tiles, the hand-painted "labels" mural; every single detail of the decor is deeply anchored in the heart of Provence and contributes to the best shopping experience. A hand massage bar, an intimate skincare treatment area and a men's grooming consultation section are just a few of the many luxurious treats offered to consumers.
As part of its DNA and commitment to stay ahead of environmental issues, L'OCCITANE's designers have carefully selected eco-friendly materials, such as FSC label wood, recycled PET plastics, low COV paints and finishes, and low energy LED lighting.
L'OCCITANE's Robson Flagship boutique is set to offer a complete and unprecedented shopping experience reflecting the essence of Provence and L'OCCITANE's core values of authenticity, sensory pleasure, respect of nature and traditions.
Across Canada, L'OCCITANE EN PROVENCE counts a total of 28 boutiques and 2 flagships, as well as an online e.commerce shop.
"Vancouver is an incredibly important market for us, in fact our first ever store in Canada opened in Granville so we hold Vancouver close to our heart. In recent years we have done some very targeted openings in Vancouver in key important malls where we had no presence. With the opening of our west coast flagship now on Robson Street I feel we have created not only an important brand statement on how special and unique our store is but also how commitment we are to Vancouver and our wonderful customers." says David F. McConnachie, L'Occitane Canada's CEO
