Millions Raised and Thousands Gathered Across Canada to Support the Blood Cancer Community
TORONTO, Oct. 29, 2026 /CNW/ -- The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC) is proud to announce the outstanding success of its 2026 Light The Night campaign, which brought together communities across the country to raise a record-breaking $6.4 million and counting in support of Canadians affected by blood cancer.
This year, participants gathered in 16 communities across Canada, carrying illuminated lanterns in a powerful display of hope, remembrance, and solidarity with those impacted by blood cancers.
"Everyone who takes part in this campaign and every lantern that is lit helps drive groundbreaking research, provide critical support to individuals and families, and send a powerful message: no one should have to face blood cancer alone," said Alicia Talarico, President of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada.
"Light The Night isn't just a walk; it's a testament to our resilience, our determination, and our unwavering commitment to the fight against blood cancers," said Talarico. "As we come together under the stars, we embody the progress we've made and the hope that propels us forward."
