A total of 20 companies in the Grand Sud-Ouest region received awards. Luc Harrisson, La Brasserie Labatt's Manager of Environment, Health & Safety, was very pleased to be on hand to accept the award from the Chambre de commerce for the brewery's outstanding environmental performance and improved productivity. Jacques Fortin, General Manager and Commissioner of Economic Development for the Développement économique LaSalle organization and a member of the jury, said: "We had many companies deserving of distinctions this year, but Labatt clearly stood out."

The company also recovers over 98% of its waste, including glass, metal, cardboard paper and spent grains.

"The environment is a subject of major concern at La Brasserie Labatt. We are constantly looking for ways to increase our productivity, while significantly reducing our ecological footprint," says Jennifer Damiani, Communications Manager.
