EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ celebrates iconic Canadian, Mr. Ches D. Penney

Newfoundland and Labrador is home to the 2015 Atlantic Lifetime Achievement Award recipient

HALIFAX, July 16, 2015 /CNW/ - Mr. Ches D. Penney will receive the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Atlantic Lifetime Achievement award in recognition of his success as a businessman and committed legacy builder through his business and personal initiatives in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Mr. Penney was named to the Order of Canada, the Order of Newfoundland and Labrador, and awarded an honourary doctorate from Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador.

He started his career in banking before entering private business, expanding his interests to cover everything from automobile dealerships to heavy construction, energy services and real estate. As founder and chairman of the Penney Group, he's made important contributions to the economic growth and industrial development of the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.

The EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Lifetime Achievement award honours individuals who've made an enduring impression on the Canadian business community and who continue to nurture and inspire the next generation of Canadian entrepreneurial talent.
