Cross-country skiing at Sépaq - To take full advantage of winter

QUEBEC CITY, Nov. 18, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - November is the month when skiers begin to hope for snow. This is also the time when many purchase their cross-country skiing season pass from the Société des établissements de plein air du Québec, providing access to the seven cross-country ski centres in the network: Mont-Mégantic, Mont-Orford, Mont-Saint-Bruno, Mont-Tremblant and Oka national parks, as well as Camp Mercier in the Réserve faunique des Laurentides, and Station touristique Duchesnay.

10% pre-season discount
Skiers who purchase a season pass by November 30, 2014 will receive a 10% pre-season discount. With this pass they can ski seven days a week! At the going rate, the season pass costs $167/adult, opening the door to 450 km of marked and mechanically groomed trails. A weekday-only season pass (Monday to Friday) is also available.

The season pass also comes with many exclusive advantages, including a one-day cross-country skiing pass for a person of the pass holder's choice. The season pass can be purchased at any of the seven cross-country ski centres in the network.

Other value-packed options
This impressive network also offers daily rates and promotions, including the booklet of 10 day passes for skiers to share; the Day pass and entry fee package (for national parks only); the Family ski package; and a 25% discount for students and seniors. The full range of cross-country ski offerings is available at sepaq.com/skiing.

National park entry fees are not included in the season pass or the day pass, proving once again just how advantageous it is to purchase the Annual Parcs Québec Network Card, valid for an entire 12-month period.

A highly anticipated cross-country ski offering
A study published in 2012 by the Transat Chair in Tourism, entitled Étude de la clientèle pratiquant le ski de fond et la raquette, et analyse des enjeux dans une perspective touristique (A study of clients who practice cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, and an analysis of the issues from a touristic perspective) shows that 60% of cross-country skiing enthusiasts turn to Sépaq's website first when organizing their outings. These skiers clearly appreciate the cross-country skiing possibilities available across the Sépaq network..
