Builders Shortlisted for Humber College Project

TORONTO, June 6, 2012 /CNW/ - Infrastructure Ontario today announced that three companies have been pre-qualified to design, build and finance the Learning Resource Commons at Humber College Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning.

The Learning Resource Commons, an academic support and student services facility, will become the new main entrance of Humber College's North Campus in Etobicoke. The new building will help accommodate more than 2,200 new students and will feature group and independent study space, an expanded library, enhanced student services and a student gallery and showcase.

The Humber College project will proceed under Infrastructure Ontario's Alternative Financing and Procurement model, which transfers risks associated with designing, constructing and financing the building to the private sector.
