TORONTO, March 4, 2013 /CNW/ - Global's award-winning original series Bomb Girls hit the mark at the 2013 Canadian Screen Awards taking home a number of trophies including Best Performance by an Actress in a Continuing Leading Dramatic Role for Meg Tilly (@Meggamonstah). The series, which has garnered recognition both in Canada and the U.S., including nods from ACTRA, the Writers Guild of Canada and the illustrious Gracie Award for Outstanding Drama, makes its highly anticipated return with all new season 2 episodes beginning on Monday, March 25 - 9pm ET/PT.

The love and drama continues with episode 207 "Party Line" - it's harvest time and as the girls pluck the bounty of their victory garden, Vera uncovers a TNT shortage, shining an unwelcome light on the men of the Blue Shift - and jeopardizing her burgeoning friendship with Marco. Meanwhile, as preliminary reports of a successful raid on Dieppe are broadcast cross-country, Gladys isolates herself to fight her own private battles and Betty has an unexpected reunion with a soldier. Lorna fights for her long coveted home telephone, but any success is tempered by her growing fears for the safety of her sons.

Bomb Girls season 2's premiere drew in a loyal following of 1.1 million viewers (+2, Nat) and ET Canada's host Cheryl Hickey's cameo appearance earlier this year was also pegged as a fan favourite. Fans have a lot more to look forward to in the upcoming six episodes of season 2 including special guest star Rosie O'Donnell (@Rosie). Rosie portrays a legendary and intrepid reporter Dottie Shannon who drops by Victory Munitions to get ammunition for her article on Women at War in "Something Fierce," airing Monday, April 8 - 9pm ET/PT.

In anticipation of the award-winning series' return, first-time viewers can watch the first six episodes of Bomb Girls season 2, while die-hard fans have the opportunity to brush up on their Bomb Girls' knowledge online at

Bomb Girls is produced by Muse Entertainment and Back Alley Film Productions Limited in association with Shaw Media.
