Bird Construction Inc. Announces Contract Award of $95 Million Alberta Public Safety and Law Enforcement Training Centre

TORONTO, July 5, 2012 /CNW/ - Bird Construction Inc. announced that Alberta Infrastructure has awarded to a subsidiary of Bird a contract to construct the new Alberta Public Safety and Law Enforcement Training Centre located in Fort Macleod, Alberta. The centre will be built on 320 acres of land in the southeast corner of Fort Macleod and will include classrooms, a library, a cafeteria, accommodations, indoor and outdoor firing ranges, a scenario building, a driving course and recreational areas. Construction of the $95 million facility will commence later this summer with an anticipated completion date in the fall of 2014. The value of this project will be added to Bird's backlog in the third quarter.
