Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Canada Launches in Western Canada

MEDICINE HAT, AB, Jan. 17, 2012 /CNW/ - Premier lifestyle real estate brokerage Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Canada (BHGREC) today announced its expansion into Western Canada. The addition of seven Signature Service Real Estate offices to the brand represents BHGREC's latest movement in providing Canadians with a full service offering when buying and selling their home.

"There is tremendous opportunity for growth in Western Canada where the economy is robust and consumers have a thirst for a real estate brand that embodies the importance of home and lifestyle," said Nelson Goulart, vice president of network services, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Canada. "Signature Service Real Estate is a natural fit for us and we look forward to leveraging their success and utilizing our network to service Albertans both locally and nationally."

The seven offices of Signature Service Real Estate in Coaldale, Taber, Hanna, Medicine Hat, Wainwright, Lloydminster and Bow Island (hometown of Rob Vanden Broek, president, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Canada) will now be under the banner of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Signature Service.

"The Western Canadian real estate market is uniquely diverse," said Vanden Broek. "I grew up in Alberta and understand how varied the real estate needs are in this region of Canada. We see an incredible opportunity to explore urban and rural real estate services in Alberta and we're excited to build on the strong and vibrant connections to those communities which Signature Service Real Estate has built."

BHGREC employs online and social media tools, along with others, to enhance the customer experience and further involve consumers in the purchase or selling of their property. This announcement marks the beginning of BHGRE's aggressive growth since its recent launch in Canada last October in Ontario.

"We're thrilled with Canada's acceptance of the Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate brand," said Sherry Chris, president and global CEO of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate LLC. "There is significant strength in Canada's real estate market which opens greater opportunities for our brand to continue to make its mark. Our number one focus is the customer and the development and expansion of the BHGREC brand demonstrates this commitment."
