Jon Horsman appointed Chairman and CEO
CALGARY, June 27, 2018 /CNW/ - AltaCorp Capital Inc. (AltaCorp) has named Jon Horsman, previously the co-Head of ATB Financial's (ATB) Corporate Financial Services team, as its new Chairman & CEO. AltaCorp, the capital markets arm of ATB, is realigning its expertise and resources to expand its role as a trusted partner to existing clients, while reaffirming its commitment to advocate for clients in the global competition for capital.
Jon Horsman takes over from Paul Sarachman, who had been serving as co-CEO since late 2017. Sarachman, who remains President of AltaCorp, has played an important role in helping to guide the company through many of the changes it undertook over the past few months.
"Paul has demonstrated impressive leadership over this transition period," said Horsman. "He and I have developed a great partnership and as president, Paul will lead an expanded executive portfolio, including sales and trading, research, retail and compliance."
