About the World Airline Awards
Completely independent and impartial, the World Airline Awards were introduced in 1999 to provide a truly global study measuring passenger satisfaction. Travelers from around the world vote in the largest airline passenger survey to determine the award-winning airlines. For the global media, these awards are known as "the Oscars of the aviation industry."
Skytrax covers all costs associated with the survey and the awards ceremony, and airlines are not required to pay any entry or registration fees. The use of award logos and results is free of charge.
The online survey was conducted from September 2025 to August 2026. More than 100 customer nationalities participated, and 24.8 million eligible responses were included in the results. All responses were analyzed to verify IP addresses and user information. Duplicate, suspicious, or ineligible entries were removed.
More than 300 airlines are featured in the 2025–2026 survey results. The survey was available in English, French, Portuguese, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Turkish, Japanese, and Korean.
