A new rewards program to plan your next getaway, enhance your travel experience and combine points with loved ones
MONTREAL, Nov. 2, 2026 /CNW/ -- A getaway for two, a family reunion or the thrill of discovering a new destination: every trip starts with a dream. Today, Air Transat is launching Staria, its new rewards program, to give members more ways to make their travel plans happen and enjoy every part of the journey.
Designed for occasional and frequent travellers alike, Staria rewards members when they book and also between trips. Members earn points to use on their next flight or vacation package. They can also take part in interactive activities to collect stars that unlock rewards to enhance their experience. And they can combine their points with loved ones to plan their next trip together.
"With Staria, we want to give our customers even more reasons to choose Air Transat and to keep travelling with us. Designed specifically for leisure travel, the program will help us better understand their preferences, further personalize their experience and, with our partners, offer more ways to earn and redeem points. Staria is also a key driver of growth and revenue diversification for Transat," said Annick Guérard, President and Chief Executive Officer of Transat.
Real benefits, at your own pace
You don't need to travel often to enjoy Staria. The program offers three complementary ways to benefit and get closer to your next trip: points, stars and constellations.
- Plan your next getaway with Staria points
Members earn points on eligible purchases. They can then use them to pay for part or all of an eligible Air Transat flight or Transat vacation package (excluding taxes and airport fees). - Treat yourself with Staria stars
Between trips, members can take part in interactive activities to collect stars. Stars unlock a choice of rewards, including onboard perks on an upcoming flight, such as seat selection or a meal from the Bistro menu, or bonus points on a future purchase. - Combine your points to travel together with a constellation
Because some plans are meant to be shared, up to nine members can combine their points in a "constellation" and redeem them more rapidly from a single balance.
"The joy of travel starts long before departure. It's in the destinations we dream about, the plans we share and the little details that make the experience more enjoyable. That's the world we're bringing Staria into. Rewards give people a reason to join; and the joy of participating is what keeps them coming back. Our ambition is to build a brand that inspires travel dreams, not just transactions," said Garcí Iñigo, Vice-President, Marketing and Loyalty, Transat.
New opportunities every day
Staria will gradually welcome new partners to offer more ways to earn points.
Desjardins and Visa, the program's strategic partners, will offer credit cards that let members earn Staria points on everyday purchases and enjoy additional benefits. Details will be announced when the cards launch later in 2027.
