RICHMOND HILL, ON, Oct. 27, 2026 /CNW/ -- Mazda Canada Inc. today announced pricing and packaging for the 2027 Mazda CX-90, the brand's flagship three-row SUV that combines sophisticated design, premium craftsmanship, engaging driving dynamics, and family-focused versatility. Available with a choice of Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) and Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) powertrains, the CX-90 delivers responsive performance, premium refinement, and seating for up to eight passengers on Mazda's rear-wheel-drive-based Large Platform.
For 2027, all CX-90 models receive updates focused on comfort and refinement. A revised rear suspension crossmember is designed to further improve passenger comfort and ride composure over rough pavement. Additionally, CX-90 PHEV models receive updates to the electric drive motor, including additional insulation material that contributes to quieter low-speed operation. These changes are designed to deliver an even more refined experience for both drivers and passengers.
Rear Seat Alert is now standard across the lineup, and new Navy Blue Mica and Aero Grey Metallic exterior colours also join the palette for 2027.
The 2027 Mazda CX-90 arrives in dealerships this winter with a starting MSRP of $47,600 for the CX-90 MHEV GS and $49,999 for the CX-90 PHEV GS. Like every new Mazda sold in Canada, the CX-90 is backed by Mazda Canada's Unlimited Mileage Warranty program, helping provide long-term ownership confidence and value.

The CX-90 MHEV is available in GS, GS-L, GT, GT-P, and Signature models. Every CX-90 MHEV is equipped with Mazda's e-Skyactiv-G 3.3-litre turbocharged inline-six engine, M Hybrid Boost 48-volt mild hybrid technology, standard i-Activ AWD, and an eight-speed automatic transmission. When properly equipped, CX-90 MHEV models offer up to 5,000 lbs. of towing capability.
CX-90 MHEV GS
The CX-90 GS, starting at $47,600, is powered by the standard-output e-Skyactiv-G 3.3-litre turbocharged inline-six engine, which produces 280 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque using regular 87-octane fuel, and features seating for up to eight passengers. Standard equipment includes 19-inch alloy wheels, a 10.25-inch centre display, wired Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™, tri-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, Rear Seat Alert, Mazda Connected Services, Private eCall, and Stolen Vehicle Assistance. The spacious three-row cabin is designed to comfortably accommodate busy families while maintaining the premium craftsmanship expected of a Mazda SUV.
Standard i-Activsense safety technologies include Smart Brake Support, Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Lane-keep Assist, Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Head-on Traffic Avoidance Assist, and Driver Attention Alert. Together, these technologies help support driver confidence during daily commuting, highway travel, and family road trips.
CX-90 MHEV GS-L
The CX-90 GS-L, starting at $51,600, adds a larger 12.3-inch centre display, wireless phone charging, Alexa Built-in, a heated steering wheel, power liftgate, auto-dimming rearview mirror, and additional comfort and convenience features that enhance everyday usability. The larger display provides easier access to navigation, entertainment, and connected vehicle functions, while the power liftgate improves convenience when loading cargo or sports equipment.
Enhancements to the i-Activsense suite include rear parking sensors and Cruising & Traffic Support, helping reduce driver workload in stop-and-go traffic.
This trim also adds Towing mode to the Mazda Intelligent Drive Select (Mi-Drive) along with Sport and Off Road modes, and sees maximum towing capacity increased from 3,500 lbs. to 5,000 lbs. when equipped with Mazda Genuine Towing Accessories.
CX-90 MHEV GT
The CX-90 GT, starting at $56,200, further elevates the ownership experience with 21-inch alloy wheels, black leather-trimmed seating surfaces, ventilated front seats, heated second-row seats, a power-sliding panoramic moonroof, Bose® premium audio with 12 speakers, Mazda Online Navigation, SiriusXM®, a windshield-projected Active Driving Display, front and rear parking sensors, a 360° View Monitor with Trailer Hitch View, Driver Monitoring, and Front Cross Traffic Alert.
The GT is particularly well-suited to families who spend significant time on the road, combining premium comfort features with technologies designed to enhance convenience and situational awareness. The CX-90 GT-P, available from $60,150, receives the high-output version of Mazda's 3.3-litre turbocharged inline-six engine, producing up to 340 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque when using premium fuel. The increased output delivers stronger acceleration and effortless highway passing performance while maintaining the refinement expected of Mazda's flagship SUV.
Building on the GT, the GT-P adds black Nappa leather seating surfaces, premium interior detailing, a black headliner, and Emergency Lane Keeping with Blind Spot Assist. Together, these features create a more sophisticated cabin environment while adding an additional layer of confidence during highway driving.
Available exclusively on GT-P models, the Sports Appearance Package adds a distinctive visual character through unique exterior styling elements, helping emphasize the vehicle's athletic stance and rear-wheel-drive proportions. CX-90 MHEV Signature
At the top of the lineup, the CX-90 Signature, starting at $64,150, combines the high-output inline-six engine with Mazda's most premium interior environment. Signature models feature Windsor Tan Premium Nappa leather upholstery, Grand Luxe Suede® trim, Driver Personalization System with facial recognition, a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a power tilt-and-telescopic steering column, and distinctive machine-cut alloy wheels.
The Driver Personalization System can automatically adjust seating, steering wheel, mirrors, and display settings based on the identified driver, creating a more seamless ownership experience.
